There are a range of different methods for delivery of Sport, Exercise and Performance psychology delivery. Below you will see a range of the most popular methods of delivery. However before any delivery takes place a meeting is conducted to decide the best course of action to support any client with their needs and goals.

One to One Consultation

This involves face to face or online consultation with Phil. One off sessions can be used for any specific sport, exercise or performance psychology related needs. Block booking of work includes a thorough needs analysis, case formulation, intervention plan and implementation and subsequent support , evaluation and follow up. Block bookings can be made in blocks of 5 and 10. Each session last approximately 60 minutes.

Educational Workshops

These sessions are bespoke to the needs of the group or organisation as outlined by the leader. These workshops usually stem from a well-being or performance perspective. Examples of a well being session include “resilience” and an examples of a performance session include “performance under pressure”. These educational workshops can range from 1 hours sessions to 1 day full workshops.

Team Support

This type of service to includes consistent support with the coaches, the team and the key leaders within the team. Similar to the one to one consultation will follow the process of a needs analysis, case formulation intervention plan and implementation and subsequent support , evaluation and follow up.

 

Coach/Leader Support

This involves continual support and guidance for leaders to understand their leadership style and how it influences their performance outcome. Through this support we will look at how to create a high performance psychologically safe environment that supports high productivity, effective communication and well being. This usually includes the spotlight and spotlight dynamics within the process.

Spotlight

Despite a long history of psychological ‘typing’ & its application, recent research & the rapidly changing nature of the workplace means that simply understanding behavioural preferences is no longer enough. With this in mind, Spotlight has been developed a framework to analyse an individual’s psychological behavioural and mind-set preferences to provide an overall performance preference. A spotlight profile is a great way to understand your performance preferences and is often used with all the packages offered.

Spotlight Dynamics

Creating an effective team has been the goal for any high performing teams. Some of the core fundamentals of what makes a team effective will be explored in the session including challenge and support, stability and adaptability, security and risk taking, and possibilities and process. Psychological safety is the foundation to facilitate the development and effective process of these. Spotlight dynamics provides a deep insight into the functions of a team so that tailored, targeted and bespoke interventions can be developed to support teams.
